    Charlotte Nilsson, born on October 7, , in Hovås, Sweden, is a Swedish singer known for winning the Eurovision Song Contest in She grew up in Gothenburg and started performing at a young age. In her early years, she sang in bands and worked as a singer on cruise ships. Her musical career developed further in the s when she joined the dance grupp Anders Engbergs. Later, she became a member of the grupp Wizex, which was active in the Swedish dansband scene.

    In , Charlotte represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song &#;Take Me to Your Heaven.&#; She had won Melodifestivalen, Sweden’s national selection, earlier that year.
