Hon födde sitt tredje barn för två månader sedan. I dag kör Anna Jönsson Haag lagtempo i Ski Classics.

Anna Jönsson Haag slog igenom på den internationella seniorscenen säsongen Hon tog sina första världscuppoäng på premiären i Beitostölen där hon blev a. Och sedan gick det snabbt; helgen därpå blev hon trettonde i Ruka och ytterligare en helg därefter blev hon femma på  milloppet i Davos.

Drygt ett decennium senare la hon satsningen på de traditionella distanserna på hyllan. I prisskåpet hade hon då fyllt på med ett OS-guld i stafett och två OS-silver; dessutom fyra VM-medaljer.

Men suget att tävla fanns kvar, och den gångna vintern var hon bland de tio bästa tre gånger i Ski Classics. Och på lördagen kör Jönsson Haag lagtempot bara två månader efter att hon födde sitt tredje barn.

Now she has announced on her Instagram that she wants to continue challenging herself and race another year at Ski Classics: 

“That thing with the kick. The kick I get from challenging myself. The kick that makes me feel so good. That I need. And always have done. So far in life, that kick has come from challenging myself physically. I remember the rollerski trips when I was a young teenager. I was triggered by figuring out where I could go, and then I could do the same round over and over to see if I could beat my time. I remember my first 

longer run as a years old. I had never run longer than an hour, and suddenly I ran almost double. I was completely empty and thought it was so far. But I was high afterward to have made it.” 

“I could say that I am drawn to the extreme, but there are those who are much more extreme than I. But I like to do things that are a little out of the box, the expected. It gives me the kicks, and that is what drives me!” 

In her Instagram post, Jönsson Haag states that the normal everyday intervals or few hours basic workouts are not what motivates her and keeps her going but the challenge:
