    Visitors at the

    • Admission to the grounds of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial is free of charge. The entry cards should be reserved on  For better understanding the history of Auschwitz we suggest a visit with a guide-educator

    • The fees are charged for engaging a guide-educator. Visitors in groups are required to engage an Auschwitz Memorial guide. There is also possibility for individual visitors to join a guided tour. 

    • The Museum also provides online guided tours.

    • Due to overwhelming demand, please book in advance and arrive at the Memorial at least 30 minutes before the start of the tour due to security checks. The main car park and entrance to the Museum is located at 55 Więźniów Oświęcimia Street.

    • Visitors to the grounds of the Museum should behave with due solemnity and respect. Visitors are obliged to dress in a manner befitting a place of this nature. Before the visit please read "the rules for visiting".

    Eleverna åker till Auschwitz

    Läraren Susanne Danielsson minns resan från Det var första gången hon var i Auschwitz och såg koncentrationslägren. Bilder av två ton samlat hår har etsat sig fast i huvudet.

    – Det var en känslomässig berg- och dalbana, säger hon om sitt första besök.

    Det blev så påtagligt, berättar hon. Nu ska hon dit för andra gången – tillsammans med tio elever och två lärare från Drottning Blankas gymnasium.

    I en väska ligger "I skuggan av Auschwitz" av Artur Szulc. På bänken ligger Jaff Schatz och Salomon Schulman verk, "Auschwitz' skugga". Bakom datorskärmarna sitter Alexander Eskilsson, Abelone Ledin och Emma Nordquist. Alla tre har, i olika varianter, valt att göra sitt examensarbete om just Auschwitz med anledning av denna resa.

    – Det finns inte så många människor kvar som överlevde andra världskriget. Det är viktigt att de får berätta, säger Emma Nordquist.

    The Museum is located on the outskirts of the town of Oświęcim, on provincial road No. The tour starts at the former Auschwitz inom camp. In the vicinity of the Visitor Services Center you can also find luggage lockers and a restaurant that also offers kosher snacks.
